About

The oceans are responsible for producing 50% of the oxygen that is required on the planet, being also the largest sinks of carbon dioxide. This is due to the different species that inhabit it, which have a key biological role both in the food chain and in buffering the climate change effects (carbon sequestration, oceans ecosystem balance maintenance, etc.). This videos aims to highlight the urgency of addressing the threats to which the ocean ecosystems and its inhabitants are being exposed, and the need for actors from the public, private, civil society and decision-making sectors to work together looking for solutions leading to effective ocean conservation.
